The Birkenstock Zermatt is a fresh and fashion forward slipper. The Zermatt is Birkenstock's first slipper with a removable footbed, allowing you to choose from three different insoles. The only issue is which to choose? The Standard Footbed, the Soft Footbed and the Shearling Footbed. All insoles can be ordered separately. The soft wool felt upper is durable and provides ultimate comfort, a win win! Pair these with white jeans and a sweatshirt for a cute and casual look.

    These are my first pair of Birkenstocks and now they are the only shoes I wear! The only difficulty is that it's not easy to find the type you want and the size in that type, at least for these Zermatt ones (felt or leather). The sizes are very limited for any particular version of Zermatt shoes you're looking at. If you go directly to the seller's website the size ranges are a bit better. Legend Footware was offering the ones I got through Amazon and they provided the best seller experience I have ever had through Amazon.

    Hard to find these in the US

    Happy to finally find the Zermatt shoes without furry lining! I already knew my size (womens 7 EU 38) because I had the shearling version previously, and those don't last like the regular footbed will. I don't know how the shoes FedEx shipped from England to the US in a day but wow thank you Legend Foorwear!!
