This spring we saw a huge focus on shoulder details. There were looks with one shoulder, off the shoulders, cold shoulder cut outs and even over sized ruffles and shoulder pads. We will see variations of these everywhere this summer!

For your home, we've found a couple accent piece to bring this trend into your interior decorating. Chaise Lounges are a great furniture piece that incorporates the asymmetrical, over sized feel. A decanter or vase with curves like the one above also reflect the exaggeration these bold shoulder looks have. The easiest way though is with any ruffled textile such as a blanket or pillow. Each of these will give a fun flare and interest to any room you incorporate them in.

Bold shoulders can feel like a daring trend, but we have a couple tips to help you feel confident in this look! The great thing is you can do this for day or night. With any exaggerated look, the key to completing your look is balance.

#1: Our first suggestion is to pair a bold, chunky earring without a necklace (you can include a bracelet too if you would like). With all the lines the garment creates, a necklace will distract from the focus on the shoulder.

#2: Second tip is a simple black sandal, this will keep from overwhelming the head to toe look. Many of the runway styles paired strappy ankle heels like those above.
