Like Simons Shoes, Rieker Antistress has an impressive history; the company has been making shoes for more than 130 years. A family business, Heinrich Rieker opened the first factory in 1874; since then, the company has been run by Heinrich's sons and their descendants.

Rieker is one of the largest shoe manufacturers in Europe, producing more than 50,000 pairs of shoes each day. To ensure high quality, the company keeps design and development of new collections close to home, at the original factory and Rieker headquarters in Reiden, Switzerland.

Simons isn't the only one to recognize Rieker's quality and style- they've received plenty of awards over the years as well. In fact, the International Footwear Retailers' Association (IFRA) has awarded the company half a dozen awards in the last 10 years, including Ladies Brand of the Year (2006), Best Customer Service (2006), and Brand of the year for 2003, 2004 and 2005. Rieker has also been recognized as a Brand of the Year by the Drapers Footwear Awards in 2004 and 2006.
